In response to the age-old human instinct to tell time based on the crowing of roosters and singing of birds, the cuckoo clock was first developed in the Black Forest during the 17th century. This modern desktop version is shaped like a small black birdhouse and adorned with two analog hands and a small yellow bird who emerges and cheerfully chirps each hour. Its precise quartz movement, adjustable volume and sustainable wood construction create a seamless blend of form and function that remind us of the way nature operates: with simplicity and elegance. The Desktop Cuckoo Clock is also wall mountable. It runs on three AA batteries (not included) and measures 11h x 10.1w x 3.9"d.
